Project Preview

Storytime:
A couple years back in high school I was in an Art Class where we were doing an art project that involved cutting/making stamps with Lino Cutters.  You probably can see where this is going.  I ended up stabbing my thumb.  Real great mental picture.  I went to the bathroom to wash it off, as a I surveyed the situation I decided the cut wasn't to bad but kinda gross, and BOOM!

I wake up on the bathroom floor.

Yeah That's Right.

What happened? Bet you didn't expect that!  So I realized what I thought had happened: which was that I had passed out.  I got up to go to the hallway with a very painful headache, saw my teacher and told her what happened.  A nurse came and was being all afraid inevitably causing me to worry that I had brain damage or something.  So I passed out again.  I wake up and people are rushing around me asking my name, and then I get taken in an ambulance to the hospital. (pretty exciting) They checked out my head and ask to stitch up my cut which, however, is practically nonexistent.  Good news: no real damage.  In conclusion the best part of this story was that I officially became apart of a "medical emergency"at my school, which of course I have always secretly wanted.

So now I was willing to embark again on a new journey of cutting a rubber block with lino cutters; except this time I was careful NOT to cut my thumb.

This project is sort of apart of the 25 Days of Projects, okay because it is.  I wanted to give you a taste of the madness before November 20, when the Kickstarter project ends.  So, I sold my football ticket and picked up some supplies.

I asked my mom to send me this picture of their new house:

I would just like to note that I have fully pictorally documented this process.  However, I want to save the real tutorial for December.  So here is the somewhat blind tutorial.  Except that is kind of the wrong word because it is more a pictures tutorial, which you could not see if you were blind.

Anyways,

BAM!

Basic Idea, but still not as good as the real thing...

I plan to put this up on Etsy, cause who wouldn't want Christmas cards with a print of their home on them???

And as always, if you want to see the full tutorial and 24 other projects just as awesome, support the series on kickstarter!

Annnndddd, this project is linked up over at French Country Cottage and at the Picket Fence
