Flu

Apparently there really is no such thing as a small flu.  This past week I came down with the flu, probably the second time in my entire life that I've had it.  Needless to say, it was quite terrible.  Between the aches, cough,  and two-hour tylenol/ibuprofen switch offs, I had some go to options that I did everyday that made me feel just a little bit better.  I figured that because it is flu season and all some  people might appreciate the tips I have to offer, so here they are:

A nice glass of water with some salt stirred in keeps that sore throat at bay for a little while.  Good news though, it also loosens up that icky phlegm that is so bothersome.

A steamy shower was the only thing that made me feel halfway normal while I was in it.  This too helps loosen the phlegm from your passageways.

A trusty glass of orange juice was nearly always at my side.  When water seems to do nothing orange juice really does help.  Not only was I getting the needed liquids that my flu required, but it also helped my gem of a sore throat.  Without this stuff I would have been even more miserable.
