The famous black and white checkered floor has definitely
seen its days as bad renovations and cheap linoleums. However, it has a design appeal as a classic, graphic print. While some might consider it outdated,
others see it as retro. It teeters
the line between ugly and understated.
For myself, I never saw it as much of an option. In my younger years I considered it
ugly and cheap--a floor to be redone.
I have since changed my views, and if you are an unbeliever, these
photos may do it for you as well.
The good news is, this floor can be relatively cheap, especially if you
take my favorite option and paint some dinged up hardwood floors. Enjoy!
