Floral Slipper Chair Part 1

Partial under-quality photos warning.  Please see past my lack of skills and patience.  I found this slipper chair at Goodwill for $7!  The blue silk on it wasn't too bad, but it was stained and I really wanted to go for a more modern look.

In this pic I had already taken my handy dandy screwdriver and removed some of the staples

I really do like the legs.  Before, the chair had a ruffle to cover them up, the ruffle was decent but I want this girl to show off her legs!

I covered her with a plastic bag and used Krylon Blue Ocean Breeze spraypaint to paint the wood.  It took a few coats, then I let it dry

Then I used the remnants of fabric from the chair to cut out pieces of this floral sheet.  I have heard that I probably shouldn't use a sheet to reupholster my chair but I guess we'll see...

Now my friends, its time to wait for part two...I'm hoping to attack this project like a polar bear on seal this weekend (Eww sorry for that mental graphic).  Anyways...pictures are on their way!!!

I am also linking today to French Country Cottage and Miss Mustard Seed.
