Last weekend I saw a rummage sale ad on Craigslist that I couldn't pass up. The pictures weren't the best, but they were cramped with old furniture for sale. I finally made it to the sale on Sunday (if I had my way, I would have been there on Thurs. when it opened) and boy had I underestimated those pictures! There was soooo much stuff! So much that I'm sure I didn't even see it all. Luckily, I documented some of it. My good friend Kelly drove me to the sale; she is the lovely lady modeling in some of these rather poor quality pics.
This was just one small section of the sale. One very small section.
Detailed vanity that I wanted my mother to purchase.
This is a gorgeous lamp that I kick myself for not buying!
Kelly, and her beautiful showcasing technique. These were movie theatre chairs people!
Vanity close-up
Ok, so the guy selling this amazingness is an ex-antique dealer and just wanted to get rid of all this stuff he has accumalated over the years. That means that I got some pretty sweet deals y'all. I haven't done to much with my stuff yet (except give some of it away, tear*) but here are the pics. You will see posts soon for a follow-up. And this time I have before pictures!!!
This frame=$3, I loved it for myself, but I promised a good friend that I would be on the look out for a frame for her. The look on her face when I gave it to her made the pain of losing it all worthwhile though.
Burlap sacks that I have many things in mind for :) $3
Awesome frame=$2 I have a plan for this beauty, and hopefully she will make it to my etsy store...but my mom might already have dibs. We will see.
Ta-Da!! Love this tiered table. I didn't want to pay as much as I did, $34! Ouch. But I have been wanting one for awhile. And if its any consolation, it was marked to be $49
Lovely vanity stool for $9. She is pretty solid, but when I brought her home I realized that she was in worse condition that I thought. Kinda upset about that.
The back has some plywood/veneer stuff on it. It seems like real wood but it is chipped off in one place and also coming off the back. Ugh.
Here is the ugly red pleather that was attached to the seat. Ok, I lied. Not complete before pictures but I am improving!
Yuck!
