In the past 6 months I have become quite the blog follower. Before this time I never even gave blogs a chance. True Statement. Now I don't know what I'd do without my daily fix of Design*Sponge or routine "check-ups" of the 50 other million blogs I have bookmarked. Now I even have my own blog. The times have changed so rapidly.
I am constantly looking to new blogs for inspiration and advice. Not only do I use them as my creative fuel but as a role model of what goals I want my blog to reach. I have noticed that several blogs do weekly posts on colors, diys, home&garden, etc. I find myself checking more fervently on specific days when I know a certain type of post will be up.
Therefore, I would like to designate Mondays as "Inspired." days. Monday is the true beginning of our week and, might I add, the day that usually needs the most inspiration. I also love being inspired and sharing that inspiration with others. So each Monday I will post what has been inspiring me lately.
Enjoy!
Lately I have found myself completely engrossed in typography and print in general. I couldn't help but purchase this large book when I saw its many historical typefaces as well as graphics. I literally read it cover to cover in less than two days. Needless to say, I was completely inspired and can't wait to buy the first volume. If this looks appetizing to you, you can buy it here.
While blog surfing this past week, I stumbled upon some fantastic blogs, including DesignLoveFest written by the lovely Bri Emery. She seems crazy and creative--the best kind there is. Her blog is chock full of inspiration. I tell ya, chock full.
Meanwhile, I have been completely crushing on neon pink. I spent my New York trip being drawn to all that was neon. Some may say its gone and went, but I disagree. I normally take solace in pale and pastel colors, but recently my world has been turned upside down, and I am ready to shoot neon from every project I make from now until, well, until I am back to my old self. So, to pronounce my love I must debut my color in the form of a pair beautiful Sperrys that I first spotted at J.Crew a couple of weeks ago. The picture doesn't do quite the justice that I want it to, so go check it out at JCrew too.
